We're Featured On Her World!

by
Today is International Women's Day and I am extremely humbled and grateful to be featured on Her World (March 2021 issue) alongside 4 other inspiring women founders in Singapore.

After all the blood, sweat, and tears, I am so thankful that our voices are being heard and we are getting recognition for what we do and believe in.

In our #skinclusivity movement, we featured women with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and topical steroid withdrawal. We also showed the world that there is beauty within each of us, and people should never be judged simply based on the state or appearance of their skin.

I think this conversation about unrealistic beauty standards, especially in Asia where everyone is under immense pressure to look flawless, needs to be more talked about.

Here at Kansoskin, we believe that it is not about how your skin looks; it is about how you feel in your skin.

It doesn't matter if you have normal, healthy, functioning skin or compromised skin; all skin is good skin – it is doing its best to serve you!

No skincare brand should ever have to make you feel bad about yourself to make a sale. We do not believe in capitalising on anyone's insecurities for profits.

As a brand that believes in ethical marketing, we believe skincare should make you feel good, both physically and emotionally. This means the product has to feel good on your skin, and the brand should inspire you to love, care, and feel good about yourself. And that is what Kansoskin is all about.

We will continue to create more awareness about the various skin conditions and change the narrative of beauty by featuring real people, with real skin conditions, texture, and colour.

We would like to thank all of you who have been supporting us in our mission of skin inclusivity. Let's continue to change the narrative of beauty and strive for self-love and self-acceptance.

And to all fellow female entrepreneurs (or aspirants) out there, if you have something that you strongly believe in, stand up, speak up, and be confident in your ability to bring a positive change to the world. Happy International Women's Day!

With love,
xoxo, Joanne
